R. Scott Herbert

Scott is an Associate in our Richmond office. His practice is focused on civil litigation and workers’ compensation defense in Virginia.

Scott received his Bachelor of Arts in History and Government and Politics from the University of Maryland. Scott attended graduate programs at the College of William & Mary. He earned his M.B.A. from the Raymond A. Mason School of Business and his Juris Doctor from William & Mary Law School where he was a fellow at the Center for the Study of Law and Markets.

Scott began his legal career as a judicial clerk for Virginia’s 6th Judicial Circuit in southern Virginia. He was then a member of the Virginia Attorney General’s Civil Litigation Division where he practiced before the State Corporation Commission as a consumer advocate.
